Fake Laughing
So in Sunday school I've made a habit of doing a really loud fake laugh every time someone tells a joke.....funny or not. Lesley claims she "hates" it, but it makes her laugh every time. While in Rexburg I was showing my fake laugh to Ev and Whit and pretty soon everyone was giving it a shot. The results are below. Please vote on the poll as to whose you like best and comment on who you voted for and why if you'd be so kind. Also, I'd suggest you give it a shot yourself.....it's really quite entertaining.

Our vote goes to Trevor because although his laugh is bordering on outrageous, it's not too much so it keeps you wondering if it's fake or not.
Ev is my vote... He sounds just like Uncle Jason!
And Sam thinks this video is funny. We've already watched it 3 times...
I voted for Whitney for 2 reasons......1. Her laugh sounds evil. and 2. She tries her hand at the fake laugh twice in one sitting. You can see she starts, loses it and laughs for real, starts fake laughing again, and then loses it and laughs for real again. Very good Whit.
My vote is for Lesley. Her's was the most believable, but it's making me nervous, because I think that's the only way she laughs when I'm talking to her.

APPARENTLY PEOPLE ARE UNABLE TO READ DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE RULES CLEARLY STATE YOU MUST COMMENT ON WHY YOU VOTED FOR THAT SPECIFIC PERSON, AND SEEING HOW THERE ARE 10 VOTES, BUT ONLY 7 COMMENTS (one being from Ev who did not even vote...). I need to know why Trevor is by far the favorite. FOF
I voted for Ev because he is the coolest, funniest, and hottest person in die whole werlt. Plus, his laugh is pretty funny. Das ist alles.
Although I agree with my Amanda that Lesley's was very realistic, my vote goes to Evan, and maybe for the same reason Meredith and Brandon didn't vote for him. It was just too funny not to vote for Evan.
Jonathan thank you for reminding me why are my fav. 2nd couz. You just seem to naturally understand me, and the laugh i was going for. May I also remind you I had zero practice for this contest. Jonathan please let us know where your family will be permanently residing, because Whit and I will be moving there soon. Is it Iowa?

Before watching the clip my mind was made up for Lesley...I mean really, I know where my loyalty lies. (Keep in mind that even though I had made up my mind before I watched, I didn't cheat and read any comments before I watched. At least I did one thing right.) However, Les, I apologize that after the viewing Evan took home my vote. Like Jonathan, I too think I voted for him because the girly laugh made me laugh so hard. I was also impressed with the heavy knee slapping that accompanied the laugh, therefore enhancing the viewing pleasure.
I voted for Leslie, because I don't know Evan or Whitney well enough to have confidence in their fake laughs, and of course I didn't want to vote for Trevor. But be sure I'll be trying this out in church!

The Theodosis family votes for Lesley. Her laugh was actually quite close to her "real" laugh, which does worry me quite a bit, seeing as that is the way she laughs at my joke. I will say, however, that Les's head shake during the laugh did push it a tad over the top. I would put Whitney as the runner up.

No one will deny that fake laughing is an art not a science. That being said, it is all about the subtle touch.
Whitney: the roll-onto-the-couch... it's been done
Evan: I'll give you credit for stretching an octave or two, but you lost me at the knee slap
Lesley: the squint and head shake--very good, but not championshp caliber
Trevor: shoulder shrug, shoulder shrug, head back, mouth wide open. Trophy goes to you.

Wow..that was some good entertainment. :) It was tough to pick just one, but I have to vote for Trevor. My criteria? It was the most contagious. ;) AND I think I laughed even harder imagining this happening in Sunday School.
Okay, we just watched the video with the kids, twice. The hands down loser is .... Evan. Sorry Evan we like you, but not the fake laugh! So, the award for best fake laugh goes to... Trevor!! It was almost painful to watch, but it made us all laugh. As a side note Danae thought Whitney had the best fake laugh. Stay tuned to our own fake laugh contest.
